Military Encampment

Visitors will have the opportunity to interact with the hundreds of re-enactors in an authentic encampment. In addition to walking through the encampment and seeing authentic field conditions, uniforms and military equipment, you will have the opportunity to see a battle re-enactment.

Hundreds of military re-enactors will create encampments between the taxiways. A fully operating mess will be available to feed all the re-enactors. A complete field hospital will be in the encampment with military ambulances, doctors, and nurses, and a surgery and recovery area. A motor pool will be set up to help maintain the vast array of jeeps, staff cars, tanks, half-tracks, etc., that will be on display. Re-enactor encampments will be separated as to Allied and Axis affiliation.
